DECORATING your home can be expensive but there’s always ways to do it on a budget – without compromising on style.
But one interior design expert has revealed the four pieces you need from Ikea that look way pricier than they actually are.
Taking to TikTok, Kate Kerdi, revealed four products that will instantly elevate your home, but not everyone agreed they were cheap.
The first was a £699 oak-stained circular dining table, called MÖRBYLÅNGA, which adds the perfect rustic element to your home.
We all know a good quality sofa is expensive, especially if you want it to be comfortable as well as stylish.
But the £1,799 STOCKHOLM sofa from Ikea offers both at a pretty affordable price for something that looks so modern.
Next up, was the GRUNDSJÖ pouffe, perfect for accessorising your front room on a budget.
Plus, it doubles up as extra seating for when friends are round.
Lastly, the interior design expert recommends snapping up a stylish bedside table lamp – which looks way more expensive than its price tag.
The MARKFROST table lamp has a sturdy black marble base which would work in most bedrooms and offers a luxe feel.
Kate’s designer tips may prove popular with some, but many who commented on the video suggested her ‘cheap buys’ weren’t so cheap.
One wrote: “The table is actually expensive 699.”
Another commented: “I don’t think so.”
A third penned: “Why would you want to have something that just “LOOKS EXPENSIVE” I don’t get it, that’s just shallow.”
